Once upon a time, a tiny owl tried to shelter under a mushroom to protect itself from the pouring rain. Fortunately, that owl’s hooman was also a very lucky photographer who happened to be in the right place at the right time. Tanja Brandt snapped some photos, and the rest – as they say – was internet history as that photo went hugely viral around the globe.
“Poldi, our little owl is 1 and a half years old. I got him when he was five months old,” Tanja said.“He didn’t want to come out his egg and he was very small, the smallest. His six sisters were all hatched, and as he was the last to be born, days after the others, he was very small. I also have a Harris Hawk named Phönix, a Weissgesichtseule named Gandalf, and a snow owl named Uschi.”
