A 1400 Year Old Chinese Gingko Tree Creates a Spectacular Sea of Leaves

ginko-final-1

As the Northern Hemisphere transitions into Winter and the Southern Hemisphere transitions into Summer, we’re left with the beautiful season known as Fall (in some countries) or Autumn (in others).

No matter what you call it, this season produces some of the most spectacular flora going around.  Once such example is this amazing ginkgo tree located within the walls of the Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple in the Zhongnan Mountains in China.

Believe it or not, this tree is 1400 years old and each and every autumn its normally green leaves turn a bright yellow and fall into a golden heap on the temple grounds drawing tourists from the surrounding area.

I would love your art except for the idiotic empty ads box in the middle of the page.It won’t close and peering around makes looking too hard for true appreciation.

    1. Hi Judith. We hate annoying popups too! And annoyingly enough, our site isn’t supposed to have them! So we can replicate your setup, do you mind (pretty please) sending us an email to [email protected] and tell us how you were viewing our site when the popups appeared (mobile, PC or Mac) and what browser (eg: chrome, internet explorer, etc) so we can replicate your environment and delete the popup? Thanks!

        1. Thanks Vicki. We’ve sent you an email :)

          1. Hi Lina, Can you please email us a screen shot of the ad and tell us what kind of device you’re seeing the blog on (Mac, PC, mobile) and what kind of browser (eg: google chrome, internet
explorer, etc?) We’ll then try to replicate the issue using your same system configuration. Send it to [email protected]

            Thanks!
